Located in left field, the sensory room provides comfort, accessibility, and support, ensuring an enjoyable space for fans with sensory needs to cheer from
Roman Empire Agency is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with the Arizona Diamondbacks, introducing a sensory room at Chase Field for the 2025 MLB season. This new initiative follows the success of the agency’s sensory room at State Farm Stadium, which opened in September 2024, offering a space dedicated to providing a sensory-friendly experience for fans with autism or sensory sensitivities.
The sensory room at Chase Field is located on the Diamond Level in left field and was designed by Roman Empire Agency’s Founder, Gabriela Salcido, and her husband, Anthony Salcido. The room will feature sensory toys, interactive elements, comfortable seating, soundproofing, and a trained staff to assist visitors. For fans who wish to enjoy the game from their seats, the room will provide sensory items such as fidget toys and noise-canceling headphones.
“We are thrilled to bring this important initiative to Chase Field, expanding access for families and fans who have sensory processing needs,” said Gabriela Salcido, Founder of Roman Empire Agency. “The sensory room at State Farm Stadium has received incredible feedback, and we are excited to partner with the Arizona Diamondbacks to ensure fans at Chase Field can enjoy a similar experience while cheering on their favorite team.”
As part of this MLB league-wide effort, Kulture City has supported the build-out of the sensory room, further enhancing its inclusivity and accessibility. In preparation for the 2025 season, a series of meetings have been held to align on the partnership’s goals, ensuring smooth execution of the sensory room and other initiatives, with notable events including the room’s Grand Opening on Autism Awareness Night, Friday, April 11.
“We are thrilled to allow more fans to experience the magic of attending a Diamondbacks baseball game with the launch of our Sensory Room in partnership with Roman Empire Agency,” said Derrick Hall, President, CEO & General Partner of the Arizona Diamondbacks. “What makes the occasion even more special is that we get to open this new room during Autism Awareness Month and our own Autism Awareness Night, further emphasizing the importance of our commitment to being a safe, accommodating ballpark for everyone.”
This collaboration exemplifies the shared commitment to creating a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all fans. For Roman Empire Agency, this marks a major step forward in enhancing accessibility at sporting events for individuals with sensory sensitivities.
“Everyone deserves a chance to enjoy a game or an event, no matter their sensory processing needs,” said Salcido. “We are honored to make that a reality.”
