We work with clients aged 1.5 and older in California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Washington, Hawaii, Tennessee, and Florida. We also team up with Regional Centers, Santa Clara Family, and Anthem to provide care that is easy to get and given with kindness.
What is Autism?
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a condition that affects how people talk, interact, and experience the world. It’s called a “spectrum” because the signs and abilities of each person with autism can be very different. Some common signs include difficulty with social communication, repeating certain behaviors, being sensitive to sights, sounds, or other sensations, and having special strengths in areas like focusing, remembering things, or being creative.

Is There a Cure for Autism?
At this time, there is no known cure for autism. However, many therapies and interventions can help people with autism develop new skills and improve their quality of life.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a widely recognized and evidence-based therapy that helps individuals with autism learn new skills and reduce challenging behaviors. Our ABA therapy services at Roman Empire Agency are tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. For children, ABA can help improve communication, social interactions, and adaptive living skills. For adults, ABA can support vocational training, independent living, and community integration. - Adaptive Skills Training (AST): This focuses on teaching useful skills like taking care of oneself, managing time, and solving problems, which helps people become more independent.
- Independent Living Skills Training (ILS): This helps people with daily tasks such as managing money, cooking, and using transportation so they can live on their own.
- Supported Living Services (SLS): We help with finding housing and fitting into the community to make sure people have a safe and helpful place to live.
- Self-Determination: This helps people make choices about their lives, set goals, and take charge of their future.
- Employment Support and Training: We help people find good jobs and keep them by providing job coaching and teaching them skills.
- SSI/Medi-Cal Assistance: We guide people to get financial and healthcare help for long-term care needs.
- Forensic Support: These are special services for people who are dealing with legal issues or challenges in their community.
